The March meeting of the Wargrave Local History Society began with the AGM, when the past year's activities were reviewed, the committee for the coming year elected, and details of the 2011-12 programme given to members. For the rest of the evening, the Chairman and Secretary, Peter Halman and Peter Delaney, showed how the Society's new book is being prepared. This is planned for publication during the 2011 Village Festival, and will be mainly a selection of photographs from our archives. Look out for copies at the Festival Fete!! One image which might be included in a future volume is the one shown here - this chap, clearly happy with life - is sadly not named - if any villager can help to identify him, we would love to know!
