In December the Wargrave Local History Society held its traditional party. Members puzzled over old photographs, showing shops that had existed in the village, and others of details of historic interest around Wargrave. The shop pictures showed that the village used to have a much wider range of shops than applies now, whilst the 'details' pictures gave even long-established residents something to 'think about'! They were then treated to refreshments of mulled wine, home-made blackberry and apple pies - made with Wargrave grown apples and blackberries! - and mince pies provided by Wendy Smith.
