The Wargrave Local History Society held a successful Christmas Party in December. Members participated in picture and sound quizzes. Geoff Briggs had produced a range of photographs of familiar items taken in close up for members to identify, whilst Tony Barker had photographed all of the village postboxes, for which the locations had to be deduced. The sound quiz took the form of various historic recordings, for which either the year, the voice, or when it might have been heard had to be worked out. The evening included festive fare that had been prepared by Wendy Smith and her daughter Bethany.
